Current and Future Plans
I returned from Ireland where I have been doing my MFA and which I completed on 25th April 2017. I have applied to Makerere Univesity to pursue a PHD in Art and my proposed area of research is: contemporary Christian Art in Uganda: A Fusion of European and African symbols. Am also looking for a teaching opportunity since my PhD Program is going to be in research. My future plan is to become a professor in Fine Art, a researcher and publish about Uganda’s visual heritage and also promote the teaching of art and design at tertiary levels of education. In the process of doing so, I would like to see that artists and designers through their practices become agents of social chance in society and influence people’s aspirations for positive living and development.
